Picture Compare Session Settings

Session >  Session Settings

To edit any settings specific to a Picture Compare session:

1.In a Picture Compare session, from the Session menu choose Session Settings.
2.Click the tab containing the settings you want to edit:

Specs

Format

Specify the file format to be used when reading the left and/or right files.  The default selection is Detected, which means the file format will be selected based on file masks.

Comparison

These options (also available on the toolbar) control how the images are compared.  See the Picture Comparison topic for details.

3.The drop-down selection at the bottom of the dialog controls the scope of your changes.  Select Use for this view only to affect the current session, or Update session defaults to apply your changes to all new sessions of this type.

Additional choices are shown for child sessions, comparisons spawned from a folder comparison.  Use for these files within parent session causes the current folder comparison to remember these settings and use them whenever this particular pair of files is compared.  Use for all files within parent session causes these settings to be used for any new Picture Compare session spawned from the current folder comparison.

4.Modify the desired settings, and then click OK.
